Will it smudge?

During independent blind consumer testing, 95% agreed that the mascara did not smudge

based on using the Volume side, followed by Curl & Length Huda's trick: try and avoid very oily textures around the eyes when wearing mascara. Set your eye area with loose powder (Huda Beauty Easy Bake) before applying the mascara for extra protection.

Is it messy?

For a mess-free application, start applying the formula at the root of the lashes and zig-zag the mascara wand back and forth, building up at the base before you move toward the tip of the lashes. This will help avoiding any clumps at the end of the lashes. For extra volume and a thickening effect, look down and coat your lashes once more. To add curl, roll the brush upwards as you move it through your lashes. 

Does it matter which I apply first?

Mascara is very personal, and application depends on your lashes and the look you want to achieve. For more volume (Huda's preferred application), use the Volume side first until desired effect is achieved. Then brush through your lashes with extra coats of Curl & Length. For wispier lashes, coat your lashes with the Length & Curl first till desired length is achieved, then top up with a few coats of Volume to finish your look. For maximum results and definition, it is advised to proceed with your complete routine on one eye before proceeding with the second.

How should I remove it?

Although the formula is super black and long lasting, Legit Lashes is not a waterproof mascara and remains easy to remove with any makeup remover.
